Alrighty. I might just end up with a 6 cylinder mustang, 5 speed. It's my brother-n-law's(Mac_24_seven).. Anyway:
I dont have a complete parts list of the engine(Up later), but I know it's a '69-71 style block. I was just wondering besides motor mounts, what all do I need to buy?
tranny?, what kind, t-5, 45.. idk..
new driveshaft?
Rearend?
suspension? (planning on it anyway..)
Oil pan? front or rear mount..
*I'm sure theres much much more than that into it, but I'd just like to get an idea of what i'm goign to be getting in to when I try to do the swap..*
I'd like to know as much as I can about doing it before I attempt it, even though I'd have an Excellent mechanic, enphasis on Excellent.. so I doubt I'd need much help or tips on acutally installing it, I just need to knwo what parts are right for it.
PM's and Emails are greatly appreciated, as they are viewed much faster than here..

I know that this will be much more complicated than putting a 302 or something in it. A bigger engine means more of a headache. I'm aware of that.
I'll keep you guys posted.. and try to tone it down a little bit on the prices...........
You'll also need a 351 intake and at least a 2.5 inch cowl hood.

Alright, well, my viewpoint has changed a little bit.
1. It looks like I might not get the car, the mustang at least.- lots of reasons, not going into any detail.. just didnt care fo rit all that much.
2. And I doubt I'd be putting a 351 into it. If anything, it would have a 302 in it. much easier... just motor mounts, carb, few other things.. etc..
I was just thinking about a 351 thats all.. Thanks for the thoughts.
