I have at least one that is burnt so I am running on 7 cylinders. NOT FUN. I guess I will order some more tonight and hope they get here in time for me to go on my trips this week.
Mark, is Thunder Racing the only place that sell the OVC wires? They are the only place that I have seen with them anyways.

put some electrical tape around the burn spot until you get the new wires. It should help.

I actually couldnt wait til the good wires got here so I went to AutoZone and bought a cheap 7mm set that should be good until I get the good ones. Thanks to Greg for an extra set of hands and letting me use his garage.
Oh, the wires werent burn, they had spots that had been rubbed by the belt or a pulley. One was almost halfway through.:oops:I cant wait for the OVC wires so I dont have to route those things anymore.

I'd only have to do it once on my car and I'd have 2 cam swaps done. I think that attempt on mine counted as half.

All I know is that my LT1 will not suck when I do my cam swap:twisted:
Race Mark or John and see how bad LT1's suck:lol:

I'm sure their LT1s are no more fun to work on than yours is. lol

Lots of people sell Taylor wire sets, but I think Thunder has them as bout as cheap as I've seen. And yes the 4th gen Camaro,(LT1,LS1) is a bitch to work on because the engine is tucked up under the cowl so much. The rewards are there though. And no real offense to Stangs, but your chassis will never handle as well as an Fbody.

Yeah, we know. Thanks for throwing more salt on the wounds. Let's see:
Small displacement
Factory suspension geometry sucks
Heavy pig
Playskool interior
It's all good- I still like 'em. I haven't always been accused of making a lot of sense.

LT1's aren't exactly light. We have iron blocks. Before I became a member of NBSR (No Back Seat Racing) and SS (Slicks and Skinnies) racing teams I weighed in at 3740. Which reminds me, I didn't weigh last Saturday and really wanted to.

I weighed just about 3600lbs on saturday. That was before me getting rid of the passenger seat but that is maybe 25lbs.
