Thinking about sellin the '02 after FFW season is over...

What do y'all think a fair price would be to ask for the car as is, with both trannys (auto swap is costin me over $2k due to the $928 converter).

KBB private party value is $13,910
NADA shows Avg Trade In $14,000 Avg Retail $16,450

I know I won't get crap back for the mods on the car, so one thing I considered was putting it back to stock and selling it that way. Then selling the parts. Not sure thats worth the hassle tho, since I don't have the stock K-member etc. Right now, I'm thinking about just askin about $16k (depending on what NADA says in September). Mainly cause thats all a bank will loan to someone NADA Retail on a car.

Thoughts? Should I take the time to "part" it out back to stock before I sell it?

Reason to sell it, I don't plan on following FFW so close next year and I can run the 88 at the local races. No need for 2 cars, and I am not selling the 88. Selling the 02 would allow me time/money to work on the 88 again.

12-14K sounds reasonable for the 02, advertise it as a FFW winner/points leader etc etc, magazine hor etc etc. :O)

me and a buddy once swapped two 5.0 in one nite. he was getting rid of his car with less miles. i wouldnt do that crap anymore for anything. . .. :blink:

do you think there'd be any interest for say 15-16 at the events? i wouldnt think you'd have a problem asking 16 for it. some kid is gonna see its a nearly 11 second car and think he can do it.
