I dont know about them. I dont much trust any of those kinds of shops but on a slightly unexpected note, I had my AOD redone at AAMCO on north monroe and they did it pretty quickly and its been working good for at least 2 years now. I'm not sure I'd recommend them but at least mine came out good.

Aamco on North Monroe screwed me over on an AOD rebuild in my 88 years ago. Like back in 93/94. Charged me $1k for a "new" transmission as they called it. Tranny burned up due to a recalled part they put back in the "new" tranny. They refused to rebuild it due to a TCI 2500 stall I put in it.

Yea thats bad business for them. I get the feeling they may be under different ownership now though  But like I said not really recommending, might have just got lucky lol.

years ago they got me i towed a car there for a customer i poked a hole in the cvc boot i told them i would pay for the boot to change it while they were rebuilding .they called said I owed them 138.00 for boot replacement I said :wtf: they charged me 3.5 hrs labor to replace a transaxle boot that they had already pulled to rebuild the tranny .I asked the guy was me and the customer both paying labor to r- n- r the same part he said i guess so I won't tow nothing there now

fl transmission fixed it after aamco
I had a 700r4 rebuilt at aamco..it worked for a few years but never "felt" right.
Fl transmission just rebuilt my 4L60e and it shifts great now. They also rebuilt my T400 and went thru a T350 for me.
Randy Scott has me as a customer for now on.

Bobby Sheffield was the one at fl trans that built me a c-4 to stay behind my 67 ford fairlane . I had put 11 transmissions in before, he built me one never no problems I think that motor and tranr are still going today that has been over 20 years ago

My T400 is behind a 454 and i pull around +7000 lbs with it. No problems at all (so far).
I hope i can get 20 years out of the 4L60e, i paid enough for it, i should!

Isn't he the guy that was burying cars whole and dumping toxic waste (oil, coolant, etc) directly into the ground - the one that got busted hardcore by the EPA? Or is that a different Sheffield?
