Im gonna be done with my undergrad at IUP in a year, and am coming home. Im gonna try and get into the MBA program or the PhD in business program as an excuse to come back to florida and get the fuck out of PA. Ive been checkin out lots of other schools, but id like to do be in tallahassee for obvious reasons.
Anyone in the business school there? Im just tryin to find out what they all think.
Jon Lawrence, are you done with your Jd yet?

I'm in the College of Business, but still undergrad. I do not know specifically about the FSU MBA program, but most good MBA programs require at least 2 years post graduate work experience to even apply.

thats what ive heard at some places. they didnt mention that on the website.
Ill give it a shot. I want to try and get it out of the way before I start to get old and gray, and can enjoy it.

It's worth a shot, but I think virtually all programs are shifting to that. I would just give them a call and find out.

I've talked to several professors concerning the mba program at FSU and it is very competitive. First, they weigh heavily your prior work experience. Second, they obviously look at your undergrad GPA and your GRE scores. But the most important factor is your work experience.

Yes, graduated in May and just took the bar at the end of July.

My buddy looked here for MBA. If you dont have 2+yrs work exp you have to take remedial classes.
I got out of PA to come to FSU for grad school (not MBA though). Not I can't wait to get back home to where it's not so damn hot all the time!
