I've tried, lol! For some unknown reason, I'm all wired out tonight. AND I have to be at work at 10:00. I'm not really worried about it though. I get off around 2:00 so I can come back and sleep.

hmm... interesting...
that's what i used to use to check for plagerism.... it goes through your entire essay then scans the internet for sources....
I don't know why it would be checking someone's profile?

Now, Supra, this isn't directed at you ... even though I don't understand why you would put an essay online.
The internet = public domain as far as I'm concerned unless you have to break into something to get what you're after. If you can't password protect your writings or images from those that you don't want to see them then it's a free-for-all. Don't want it plagerised ? Don't post it in the open, in the public domain. If your teacher or whatever needs to see it, e-mail it or protect it on-line with a password and provide that to them.
Copyrights are funny too. What if I steal it and put an earlier date/time stamp on it, or steal an image and embed an encrypted watermark or text into it that's dated 10 years ago (steganography) - it's mine. Not that I do that, but if you don't want it stolen and/or used anywhere on the web, don't post it in the public domain.
Tony, or anyone, can easily prevent those fuckin' snoopy bots from scanning a site if wanted - it's just a line of text.
Anyone else got any thoughts on this subject ?

Well, all of those robots don't allways folow the txt files that say what the owner wants to share and what they don't. I could write one that would tear through everything and anything.
What I think? I think they are harvesting email addresses.

I agree. Stop those fuckers from browsing our forums. What we post here should be our own to use freely.
