Well as I just detailed in another post. They were responsible for part of the X1015 clear channel extreme overhaul contest that I won at the end of last year with my stang. They have MANY problems in that place. They have a few people who can do stuff ok but not everything. The guy at the desk is nice but has no clue about cars. His wife is the daughter of Bob and she runs the paper work and was partly responsible for the thing going so cockeyed and from what I hear was partly responsible for some lies that I was not cooperating and causing delays. She was also very nice to me but in the end I dont know what to think.
Bob himself was also pretty nice acting towards me and I dont think he had much to do with any of it although he did tell me that when I dropped it off I'd have it back in a week and they put me off at about 2 months and did damage to my car. They improperly and half assed "fixed" my A/C which I quickly explained to them that I knew was installed incorrectly as the hose going from the compressor to the accumulator on the EFI 302s in this configuration go straight back and curve behind the upper intake and then follow the firewall to the accumulator. They pulled it over the passenger side of the car in front of intake and had it resting on top of my MAF sensor and the hood had to be forced down as it was pushing the hose into my MAF meter. I had already purchased a FRPP delete kit and on it went immediatly. They also told me that they half assed the A/C because of the way the compressor was that the R134 had to be put in improperly so they could save money and not do it the right way.
Before I even left sight of the shop after dropping her off, they were outside revving the engine on my car, and they later tell me that a few of them took turns hot rodding it down gaines to see what it could do. I had more than one person telling me what they thought about my cars performance. Whats even worse is my car is nearly stock and they were impressed with it
The day I was finally to get my car back after about 15 delays, I show up a few minutes before closing when it was to be already done, and they had not even hooked the battery up after sitting for over a month. Battery was dead, then the car started and stalled out and then would not start. The A/C was also not charged because of a leak.
After all that mess I drove it home and to work next day. Then I got stranded across town at discount on capital circle NE and waited like 3 hours for them to get me a tow back to the shop and then I had to walk home from Gaines street.
Weeks later after more delays, I get my car back and its running horrible. It has horrible acceleration like the wires were crossed but they werent. I had to take it home like this and repair it all myself.
I have more complaints but I'm trying to keep it concise.
One last one to note was a friend's son took his 67 Cougar there to get work and also ended up in and out of the shop for over a month at the same time as they screwed up his car too. The funny thing is there are people out there that swear by Bobs because they took there car there a few times and they did something minor like change a tire or change the oil but the people are shady and its hit or miss on their work.

And on a second note, I have always taken my other car to Buddys Garage when I was unable to do things myself and although they are pricey they are always very nice. You bring them your car on monday morning, and its usually done within a day for minor stuff and less than a week for anything else. I believe they changed out my heater core in my Lincoln in one day and had it back to me. Greg is the guy that runs the front desk, and he good car knowledge and half the time is able to help me fix my cars myself if I talk to him about whats going on. I'm sure theres someone that wont like them but they have pretty much always been good by me. Like the complete opposite of Bobs

I think they are hit and miss. It bothers me that with something important like a giant radio promotion that they couldnt even treat my like a regular customer. Yes they were nice to me but its like come on dude. Business is Business. I know some of the guys can do the work. I watched them doing a motor swap but it was more the business end that was the problem for cutting corners. Oh well. Your mileage may vary, but thats my experience.
