ok, back to the gears issue!!

after the track day and the ride up there, i started thinking about my gears again. Even though i counted the driveshaft revolutions/tire rev a while back, i still think i have 4.10's. T, i think u have 4.30's man! Anyways, i went on Corral and they have this gear calculator, and according to my rpm's at certain mph's, i have 4.10's. 3rd gear with 4.10's in only good for about 98 mph in the cobra's and 3.73's are good for about 104 mph. I crossed the line in 3rd gear banging off the rev limiter on saturday at 97.5 mph, so i think i have 4.10's.

does the car not have rpo codes? i'm not too familiar with fords but i know chevy's have rpo codes that you can look up that'll tell exactly what ratio you have.

ya never know, if carlton installed them u never know. I was supposed to have 3.73's in my 94, but he gave me 4.10's....geez!

I don't know really, the only reason i say that is b/c when T drove my car when i first got it, he thought i had stock gears. If he thought mine were stock, then his gears must be super low feeling. I'll have to yank the cover off.

Not if he has aftermarket gears(which he does). And Im not sure that Fords do the RPO thingy. Could be wrong:D

Hmmm..., :idea: Yep, your right. I always wondered why the hell they were saying "for morbid". I guess after over 400 viewings the audio on the tape got a little muddled.:(
