My A/C @ the house is acting up. I think it's low on freon?
It stops blowing sometimes, but the unit outside is still running. In the utility closet, there is a big box where the ducting enters the house, and it freezes up and is leaking ice cold water/condensation.
If you know what I can do to fix it or someone to call, let me know.

TIA,
Jeremy

My parents house use to do that all the time. I dont remember exactly how they stopped it. I think he turned the unit off, for a day or so, let it thaw, changed the filter, cleaned dust/crap off of the radiator looking parts, and it worked again. But I'll ask what he did exactly, and let ya know.

If it is freezing up inside that usually means there is a freon leak around the coils on the indoor air handler. if you pull on of the covers off you may see a large block of ice around the coils which relates to Osceola16 reply.

At least this has been my past experience with home AC. I am no expert just have gad the same problem a few times at different houses.

Good luck

the drain may be frozen or clogged, that will make it stop running all together or just make it run without giving any cold air.. I would check that before I spend $ on having someone come out...
