A couple of weeks ago I went to the track and only got one run in due to rain. I had a hell of a time with traction from the start. Lost traction twice and the cars ESP took over and killed the power to get traction, once I got traction the car took off. My time was 12.8 seconds, but my speed was 118.31.
It surprised me that with my time being slow, that my speed was still faster than my previous track experience.
What should I take from a slower time with a faster speed?

Traction problems will cause higher trap speeds to an extent. Look at Travis, he was running mid 14's and trapping 100 before he got better at driving which in turn led to better traction, now he is almost in the 13's with basicaly the same setup on his car.

Before the Renntech upgrade I had absolutely no problem at all with traction. It seems that it will take some experimenting with launching to figure out the best approach to maintaining traction. A friend with the same car out in Arizona just ran 11.7 this past Friday night, he has the Renntech modifications too.

My guess is your just not used to the car and cant drive it to its full potential, when you get used to it and figure it out you will be just as fast as the rest of them.

Stephen, nice trap speed. You and your car will only get faster. You now MUST get better rubber. You've got 600+ hp and torque launching on street tires. After my Kleemann mods, I only improved my times by 1-2 tenths of a second (12.33 down to 12.1-12.2). Once I put some drag radials under my car it dropped to 11.7-11.8 consistently with a best of 11.65.
Find out if the offset and lug pattern of the SL and the E55 are the same. If they are, then I have some rims/tires you can try out. If they aren't, then you need to purchase some.
