Do ramps differ in quality?

I need to change my oil soon, and get under the car to try and find the location of the leak, and all I have is the crappy jack that comes with the car. I don't have the money for a nice jack and a set of nice jackstands, and I trust ramps a lot more than those anyway, at least for an oil change. Do they actualy differ in quality or is a ramp a ramp? Also how much weight do they need to support? My car weighs in the 3500 range, but I may end up using it for other vehicles, will the autozone specials work or should I get some nice (more money) ones?

just go buy a jack and two stands from wal mart thy are cheap and will get the job done.

the autozone special jack and stands shouldnt be more than $50. Unless ramps cost like $20 Id get the jack/stands. If anyone on here can drive a manual onto ramps they get a gold star. I certainly cant.

I've been using an Auto Zone jack and stands for well over 5 years.

Rhino Ramps from kmart,pepboys, etc work really well. They make two different weight capacities, one is black and the other is grey. The grey ones are the best, and I have used them for both my fullsize chevy truck and my impala ss without any problems. They cost right at 20 bucks too.

I broke 2 autozone jacks and 1 craftsman. The autozone jacks are good for basic shit, and I think you will be fine, not like you can do much else. I broke my autozone one on the 4th tranny install in my dsm. Then I bought this heavy duty craftsman jack and broke that soon after (replaced free).

I'll take a gold star then, I use Rhino Ramps all the time :) I even use them to change tires on the trailer when they blow. Make changing tires on the side of the road much much easier.

While on the topic, do they sell not-steep ramps for really low cars, because it is a bitch and a half to jack my car up. No jacks fit under my car unless i drive on boards, not even my stock jack.
I have some lower rhino ramps. They work on my car and its pretty Slow. They work well, even tho most of the time I'm reversing on to them :lol:

rhino ramps are the shit, just had to add that even though i am a little late. had mine for a year or so now, they are pimp for the cobra with it being so damn low. i have to back up on then though, the front is just too damn low

I want my gold star...I did it all the time with my honda...for the record thats like 2 ft/lbs of torque and a manual that made it really not easy
