not sure about the minis, but a fullsize benefits from lengthening the shifter length. heres a pic below of "br1ev8" truck, lengthened about 2" if i remember correctly, said he rarely missed a gear with the longer shifter helping

where and how much? i might actually have a custom shift knob/shaft. its from an F4.
