it was small ... only around 3.5 ft but still could kill if given the chance... and at the time these pics were taken it was still alive and a little upset about it's current sitituation, and it's future beheading.

I ran up on a 6ft rattler in the national forest on time... The buckshot made his head dissapear like it was never there. Thats the only way to deal with those things! I will catch non poisonous snakes but not those fuckers. I like my appendages where they are and the color they are... no disfigurement or amputation for me thanks!

Former Collier firefighter dies from snake bite
By The Associated Press
news-press.com October 10, 2005

PALATKA — A former Collier County firefighter died after being bitten by a diamondback rattlesnake.

Joe Guidry, 54, was bitten after he shot the five-foot snake in his neighbor's yard Oct. 1.

Guidry, a Putnam County fire marshal, reached out to grab the snake, which he thought was close to death, and that’s when officials say he was bitten on his right hand.

Putnam County Sheriff Dean Kelly says Guidry told him in intensive care that he felt the snake’s poison tingling in his lips as soon as he stood up after the bite.

Guidry’s condition worsened despite receiving 18 vials of antivenin and he died Friday, Kelly said.

“He died helping someone else. I think his mission in life was to make people remember him and well, mission accomplished,” Kelly said.

Guidry had also worked as a firefighter in Clay County and an emergency medical technician in St. Johns County.

Yeah...He looked like he knew his future..and wasnt a happy snake about it.

I found and killed a coral snake right by front door steps a few weeks ago. After he was dead..I was like damn..he coulda bit me. I was smashing his head with my truck tire tool....about a foot and half long...snake was longer...so Im sure if he wasnt in pain he could lit my ass up!
