View Full Version : Will a clogged cat make me run hot???

Well, as many of you know, my car likes to run hot. The pitch in my exhaust has changed recently and I think it has to do with my cat being clogged. I want to cut it out but before I just go ripping shit apart, is this something that might fix me running hot too?

If it is really clogged then your car could run hot. If thats the case then your exhaust near your heads would almost have to be glowing red to transfer enough heat into the heads. Get a new one from Jegs or Summit or someplace like that, and have it welded in. Not that I would ever do something like this, but you could also take a sawzall and cut it off, knock the guts out of the inside, and then weld it back up.

K, next question, where do I get my clogged cat removed? I would rather not have to but a cat but Im prolly gonna have to.
