Damn.
How much power were you making?
StrokinIt

As for power....It was tuned "conservatively" at about 675 "flywheel" HP
and about 560 RWHP w/ only 12 lbs. of boost.

If you need another stock block (to blow up), I have a new one ready for you. It was one I was going to put in my car. :D

Thanks...I'll keep that in mind, but I'm thinking it's time to step up to a DART block. I don't want to back in the same situation 250 miles from now using a stock block again. Thanks anyways.

Not if tuned right and you have enough fuel for the fire. I tried 10.5:1 and 17 psi, but I ran out of fuel and melted a piston. It's a fine line but high comp and high boost is done all the time.

Like an ijiot (back in '97) I tried to run a 351w on stock fuel rails and stock lines. Had it dyno tuned and it was as safe as it could be only ~14 TOTAL degrees of timming in it. The best a/f on the dyno we could get was 13:1, which is fine for a n/a car. But not one with 10.5:1 + 17 psi. Made for interesting dyno #s tho :) 467 rwhp 693 tq. 1.53 60' leaving off idle.

I absolutely agree.....tuning is everything. With that in mind, I can assure you that this one will not be tuned @ Panhandle Performance.
