Kinson, sorry bout your friend. what kind of help do you need? If it is running and you can take it out we're doing a ride today. If not, I'll have an extra seat if you want to ride. my cell is 294-7567 and we're scheduled to leave town at 11-12...That may be a good way to get your mind off things.

florida4x4.com has a bunch of jeepers. "Toy Maker" is one of the most knowledgable and he's a local guy too. pirate4x4.com is a good tech site but you have to ignore the assholes. hmm, I'll have to check out 4x4wire... looks good too.

Thanks guys. The jeep is drivable but I want to make it more streetable. Need to tighten up the steering and need to figure out how to get the sway bar installed. Since the jeep has an aftermarket drivetrain, the front suspension is total one-of-a-kind with no sway bar. i'll check out hte site mention above.

fl4x4 has been mentioned and it is good cause there is a butt load of locals on there, but floridajeepers.net will have an answer to any jeep Q you are looking for.

Also pirate has the best 4x4 tech on the internet, however, just imagine a board with 55 thousand people that make FlZinc look nice. Dont ask any dumb questions.

His sig say 83 CJ-7. Another vote for pirate4x4.com. Lots of great tech over there. Sorry to hear about your loss though.

Thanks all. The story was in Sunday's paper, Ted Carnes was a old friend from Quincy and had a jeep which got me into purchasing one.

I need the information about different things for my jeep. I need to figure out how to install a front sway bar and since he had rebuilt his from the ground up he would be the one who knew what worked and what didn't. Since it's modified with the leaf springs over abd has a dana 44 out of a 1 ton dodge van some stuff will need to be hand fab'ed and engineered. I plan on installing the newer style fender flares and will have to cut the original fenders and pop rivet the fenders plus get all the guages working again. The jeep runs great just need these things done. Plus after this past weekend accident, several folks are saying I need to get rid of it.
