So last night I am on the way home travelling north on I-75, and I see some brake lights ahead, and some dust. I am thinking someone ran off the road, but as soon as I think that there is a big fukn retread in my headlights!!!
FUK I ran over the fukr.
It tore the shit out of my front bumper, and bent some heat sheild under the car. Lots of rubber on the front bumper, a rip in it, my grille is gone, heat shield is bent, and rubbing against the exhaust.....
oh well....I know where my christmas money is going....

doesn't sound like you broke anything worth upgrading, but at least you're alright.
just be glad you weren't next to me on I-10 saturday night, i was trying to run people off of the road. i nearly took out the race'ee and several other behind me while fishtailing back and forth searching for traction. remember ladies and gentlemen, don't street race when it's misting and the roads are dew covered.....

Yes believe me I was thinking "I wonder if it broke my exhaust" LOL
but yeah.....no "body kit" shit going back on this. Looking for a white front bumper right now.
I didn't know it had sprinkled here this morning until I tried to accellerate coming to work.
Hankook tires suck.

That sucks man! Sorry about your luck. Are you going to file it on insurance?

That would be a negative.... $500 deductible, and I can get the bumper for $100 in Cleveland Tennessee next trip to Chattanooga.
Just waiting on someone to crash a white car in the rear, and for him to buy it at an auction.

hopefully my new one will be painted by the first of the year--i've only had it for about 9 months now just sitting here. my old one can be repainted though--if you wanna check it out, lemme know--it does have 3 screw holes in it where the tag bracket was mounted but they can prolly be filled in or the plastic cover that goes over it will cover it. i'll let it go for next to nothing once its off my car

Why isn't the guy that blew his retread responsible?

because he was probably miles up the road and nowhere to be found.
no telling how long that retread was sitting in the road...
The Hyundai that hit it before I did had to pull off the road.
I wonder if the Hyundai was totalled.....
the American car kept rollin down the road though.

Haha ok, I was wondering how someone w/ a blown tire cound still keep going. I'm guessing it was from a semi. Those bastards blow those all the time.

oh yeah! from the size of it, it was from a semi.
I don't know who else would use retreads on a passenger car anyway.
