Okay, that video was shot by me, so first off, how about learning or finding out the ordeal behind it..

We had driver - 185, passenger - 180, me - 200, another guy - 170 and he had him and his 100 lbs gf in the car. The guy swore on his life it was stock, but as you can tell by the sound when he walk us, it wasn't stock, he was spraying.

BTW, we've walked cars that have beat it, with less of us in the car. The cobra runs strong, Brandon has seen a pic of a 13.0 @ 110 pass and i have slips of a 12.9@111 in humid texas and 1 pass of like 13 something but the trap was 113. That is bone stock. The car rips, but he had us on the weight ordeal.

And 1 more thing, where did you find that video? So i can see who is posting it, b/c my site isn't on a search and no one knows about the "sa" directory, unless you have me on aim and seen my away message that one night.

sniff sniff.. i smell an asshole. I'm not a troll, simply telling the story behind it to all the ls1 fanatics here that dont give a fuck. It does happen, but ppl see an 03 get beat and dont care about the storyline and those are the trolls/assholes that are on the boards. We could have missed every gear, but the ls1 ppl wouldn't care, if it was the other way around, the ls1 guys would be crying out "i missed my gears".. There are no excuses, we lost, all 3 times (there is another vid in that directory if someone was to look and some video of a car on fire in SA and i think one of something else, oh the track runs at Alamo, in SA (San Antonio). I was just laying the story line out, we had X amount of ppl, he had X amount and the list of "said mods".

Yea, we wouldn't have won b/c he sprayed, but dont come to us lieing. He wanted to race us, not the other way around. So what, one beat us. Whipty-doo, time to go make it faster.

Yea, it will never end. I'm guessing you have an 03 mach? If so, the numbers i've seen those put down, WOW. i've seen 1 go 13.2 stock. The cobra NA motor and live axle, really make up the sc and IRS of the cobra. The cobra's here run low 13.0-13.2 stock, we have a 12.9 slip, going tonight for something lower. Its a torch red 10 anniversary cobra, we sold the stock front seats, someone paid 1600 for them on ebay, we're getting racing seats, rear delete, some mods, and a cage in the next month, give or take. Our goal is make 600rwhp on the stock heaton. The KB will give better hp, but the eaton makes better tq numbers. We have some tricks for cooling that we are going to use ;)

yeah, 03 mach 1 with a few mods. I have not put any numbers down yet, but I feel its a high twelve second car. I hope to get high to mid 13 sec. passes on my first time out. Good luck on your cobra project, I know there is alot of nastyness hiding in that bad boy!!!

there was no storyline to explain, you raced - you lost - everyone in the car came up with some other excuse as to why. who cares if he said hes stock, im stock too. i tell that to 99% of the people i run. its racing

yea, but the blower doesn't make that much power. Its only pushing 8psi, where as the lightning is pushing i think 12.

You have to look at the power to weight ratio's. The cobra is a solid 3800 lbs, whereas the f-bodies aren't as heavy.

but its all good.. figured i'd come keep the ls1 ppl from laughing and the ford guys from crying.

If that car was spraying he would have raped you a lot harder than he did, oh, and i've ran a 12.9 at 110 with just lid and catback before, so it doesnt take a lot to take down the allmighy 03:P :D

You're coming to Texas Motorplex? If so, we went last night and yea, we're going to the ford mustang thing there. We only got a best of 13.0 on f1's that have seen FAR better days. We gutted the car today.

I think that would be the first mod that I made if the car was mine. I think that it could be done fairly reasonably. Hell, you could probably sell the IRS to someone wanting it for a hotrod for more than it would cost for a built 8.8 with disc brakes.

why complain? the blower is stock, hisa n2o wasnt. its not our fault GM has their head up their ass and wont s/c anything. They were suppose to do the SS truck but that one has been put off for another 2 yrs or so. Ford said f-it and did it. GM has some sc cars and is suppose to be making the impala ss a supercharged 3.8 fwd. That car is an icon, why mess it up? GM imo, is going down hill. They should keep up and be innovative. They were with the ls1 and ls6 and if they do this new electric valve thing i heard about, but they need to be able to try and stay on top, not kill its muscle car.

it does seem that because the 03 cobra is such a badass car off the showroom ppl think theyre unbeatable. just like before when the LS1s had no "comp" you were something when you could whoop one of them...have yall seen the video of the 03 getting smoked by an RX-7...it was cars...and the 03 had bolt ons (smaller pulley, x-pipe, cat back etc)...but what about the $35, 000 the other guy DUMPED into the RX-7. true he won and the taste of victory is indeed sweet
