how hard is this to do with the heads on the car? I may have to tackle this soon.

I think its pretty close to impossible.
In the mag when they did the cam swap, I think it was 5.0, they mentioned something about not being able to get a valve spring compressor tool on with the heads on the car. I don't know for sure, someone has to have tried it, check the corral.

i did it on my 302 and i know its not a modular but let me just put it this way........it took me and a friend about 10-20minutes per spring and we got so tired of leaning over the fenders that it was like a 2 day thing just to change them...thats with everything already apart. it kills your back because its so hard to compress the springs and lean over the car. and the keepers on mine were wedged in there so good that i had to use a hammer and pvc pipe to knock them loose. i hit them at least 4 times a piece with the hammer as hard as i could and they would finally come loose. So basically it sucked. it was worth it when i started revving though:twisted:

Bob (Boss96) has done it. Took him about 6 hours to complete the job.
