Silvey's Off Road and Performance. They are slow but Melvin and Joe do good work. Before you all start saying its a 4x4 shop yes that is the primary work they do but ya missed the PERFORMANCE part of the name. NOS, Gears, Engines they do it all.

probally the arm running from the rearend to the transmission may be loose or rubber mount bad and also tran mount

i have an aftermarket torqur arm. not sure what company. i also have a hotchkiss rearend suspension package. i replaced about 4 bushings so far in the car. the torque arm from what i'm told is supposed to telescope back and fourth but i dont think it would make this kind of noise. i've been under the car jerking on a lot of stuff but so far nothing.

could it be shocks and bushings in the back

sounds like a broken trans mount....get a prybar under the car and try to see if you can pry up on the transmission at teh cross member or get the car on jack stands and CAREFULLY put a jack yunder the tranny to see if it lifts off the cross member.

i've replaced the transmount when i got it. it was destroyed. i've checked it since and theres a little play up and down but not much. i'm gonna look under the car again today in various places and check the actual cross member itself to see if it's loose.

remember to check your u-joints for busted needle bearings. that would be pretty painless to do.

the bushings at the bottom of the shocks are bad but i reall doubt that would cause a knocking. i think i'm gonna just go ahead and replace both u joints since i'm doing the yoke. and probably buy some new shocks.....eventually$$.

Cracked TA, or maybe just the bolt holes have been "widened" causing it to shift on the rear end.

And I know a really good shop. Daystar Performance Engineering, also known as BoMark Inc.
