Not sure exactly what year mustang it is, but saw a 98 body style Boss Shinoda today. Anyone know this car. Always been curious as to the power of them or is it just some stickers. He turned off on some apartments on ocala.

Pretty sure its just stickers. Ford payed Larry a little dough to use his name and rip off the paint scheme.

I have to disagree. A true Boss can be created by a company out of Pensacola called Team Shinoda. Here is their site:

http://www.teamshinoda.com

There is much more to it than stickers. They require a performance exhaust, gears, camber plates, lowering springs, spoilers, wheel flares and custom rims etc.
I got my decals before I knew there were specific criteria, so I'll never be able to certify my Boss. I opted to go with Bassani mufflers which are better than what they put on, in my opinion. I have custom rims, a chin spoiler, styling bar and a K&N air filter. I'm waiting for the warranty to run out this year to change out the gears, and go any further with the mods.
My 03 convertible GT is definately the Boss over any stock GT.:D
(Hey, you have to have 'tude if you're going to be the Boss.) lol

It will never be a true boss. All that company does is over charge you for stuff and make you think you have a true boss by throwing some stickers on your car.

A true boss your's is not. An my little 'ol 01 Vert GT would own your "Boss" at the moment. Sorry, stickers, decals, and chin spoilers don't add performance.

most of these cars have just the appearance mods done to them. i personally don't like the looks of the body kit and stickers.

x2, it may be "certified" but it's not a boss. Like the 2001 bullitts, it's just not the same.

Right.... and she never said her car was fast.

To quote a line from Blazing Saddles: Badges? We don't need no stinking badges.

Okay guys, all I'm saying is it's more than stickers. Yes, it is mainly for style than performance, but it is more than stickers. They don't make 'em anymore so this is the only way to have one.
The only claim I made was that my Gt could outrun something stock. I'm sure your 01 GT isn't stock, right GTPTREE? When my warranty runs out this year, I'll be adding a little more power. But, since my 14 year old daughter will be inheriting this car when she gets her license, there will be a limit to what I want to do to it.
Now, once she gets the 'stang...I'll be having my brother help me build an 81 vette into something to be scared of. Vettes have always been my true love since I was 15 and my brother built a hydroplane boat with a vette engine in it and taught me to race the jar heads in the bay around Tyndall AFB. He thought it was funnier than h*ll to have his little sister blow their doors off when I wasn't even legal to drive a car yet. I come from a lifetime of hanging out with BSing hotrodders and bikers. I totally know my place on the totem pole of power. My brother told me I was right below my sister's Kompressor and barely above my mom's Saturn! lol
That's okay...I'll be the one laughing last.....

I just hate to see the growing trend of oportunistic companies trying to make money off legendary names while ignoring the legendary performance and competition history.
