Dupli-color High Performance Vinyl & Fabric coating is the most amazing shit i have ever used. Never in my life has a product i've used lived up to the description on the back of the can. i HIGHLY recommend using this if you're carpet is fading. I havent used it on any vinyl yet but i have a couple things to do so i'll let ya'll know how it goes.
Before....

im not sure, kyle (300plus.net) originally told me about it. he found a guy on a nissan forum that said he had his on for 2 years and it hadnt faded or rubbed off at all. But even if it doesnt last that long ill buy a couple more cans and do it again.... better than dropping $250 on new carpet

The stuff works pretty good, but I must warn you that it does scuff off fairly easily. If you've covered a different color it's obviously very noticeable. I only did two coats on my stuff though.
