AutoZone sold me the wrong thermostat. They actually dont even carry the correct on so all you LT1 guys, dont but AutoZone thermostats.

reminds me of a thread i read a few weeks ago....Autozone sold a guy the wrong spark plugs for his truck, with about 5k miles on his new motor...they were too long and he had no clue it was the wrong part, and he now has a $5,000 paper weight for a motor.

what temp is it set to open at? and which one you gonna go with?

It was a 160* and it was either open all the time or wasnt opening. I got a 180* from Advance today and it seems to be working GREAT so far.

160 wont work right unless you reprogram your pcm... but it IS generally recommended to use the correct thermo ;)

I have a manual fan switch instead of having my pcm reprogrammed, its A LOT cheaper. I always try to use the correct part but its hard when the man tries to hold us down by giving us the wrong parts:lol:

PCMForless $150.00 with 6mos of free programming. Alvin has always given me great service, my chips are always turned around in record time.
