The only reason gas prices are high is because the government used Katrina as a eccuse to raise them and them kept it there. I know it destroyed everything down there, but weren't they just talking a few years ago about oil in foreign countries. We don't even get most of our oil from Iraq. The U.S. buys most of their oil from Canada, they are our pusher (in drug dealer terms). Canada buys it from the world oil market over in Denmark. OPEC does NOT set the oil prices, the world oil market does. OPEC is designed to watch over the market and make sure there is no foul play between countries.

If you want cheap oil, move to the middle east. It's still 17 cents a gallon there. You might get shot at once or twice but at least you'll stop bitching about how high gas prices are.
