Everytime i start my car it's been taking longer and longer to start. This doesn't happen on every start-up but sometimes it does. It's a 72 month battery and it doesn't look that old. I just got a new battery today and was wondering before I put it in if it might be the alternator. Any help or suggestions would be great.

if its just a problem with it starting then i wouldn't think the alternator would be causing it. It probably is the battery, just cause its a 72 month battery doesn't mean that it cant go bad before that. You should have them test it at autozone or advance before you install your new one though. In fact if your still worried about it they can test the alternator as well.

+1 for testing the battery it might have a dead cell also check the water level in the battery.
