Found a wire that had been sliced by the serpentine belt and replaced it.... However still the high end miss and difficult idle. I guess it's in the cards for me to do an opti install. I can think of things that I would rather be doing on a weekend and all of them don't involve crawling under a car.

Yeah. I'm thinking a 1st gen with high revving sb chevy stroker. I want enough room under the hood so that I can put my lawn chair in the engine compartment when I want to work on it. This shit of working on an engine where the back third is under the cowl is just a fuckin PITA. One stinkin wire last night took about an hour, working from above and from underneath.

What are you some kind of glutton for punishment? Or are you actually expecting payment of some sort.

I wasnt expecting payment at all, I just like working on cars, especially our cars, thats the only way Im going to get better at it. Plus, thats 90% of a cam install and that will be in the works soon, very soon hopefully.:D

Well, I'll put it to you this way. I just had an opti all the seals ordered from Jason Cromer overnight. I also got a pilot bushing for a clutch install. I've had a new spec clutch/pressure plate sitting in the box at my house and want to get that in soon too. At any rate I'm planning on doing the opti this weekend.

BTW I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be going with a little more aggressive cam pretty soon as well. I'm thinking of either the GM847 or XE 230/236 series. When I do I'd be willing to let my existing cam go cheap, < 10k on it. (Comp Cams 305)

XE 230/236:headbang: Ive been looking at that one for a while. I was gonna go with the cc305 but I see everyone stepping up so I figure Ill just do it right the first time. I dont really have anything going on Saturday(class got canceled again) so if you want to get it installed then, lemme know.

Yeah either of those are good cams. In your case you'll need a stall for those to be driveable.

Cool, stall in planned on as well. Just let me know what time to be over there and PM me some directs and it will be good to go in a matter of hours, it could be 89 hours  but we'll get it running.:) It only took me 4 hours to do mine the first time and it went off without a hitch so Im going or 3 1/2 hours this time. I dont know though, yours is a vented, I have to take my time with that one since I havent played with one of thse before.

Sure it is three intake leak fix tries boy.

I still think we should put some clips of us cursing and throwing tools in the garage on the video somewhere. A lot of people don't do their own work, show them we do.

Your g/f tells me otherwise. Perhaps you are too modest.;) I will call with a time as soon as I get the parts in hand. Theoretically they should be here tomorrow as I told Jason to ship them overnight. He told me that I was early enough to get them in todays shipment. :D

make sure he sends you the right part and not a non-vented opti or some other bullshit....

who fuck confuses a lt1 bellhousing with and ls1 housing anyways, no fork setup and another bolt hole....looks totally different
