so this dodge durango comes into my shop today and the guy states my brother put front brakes on my truck and something isnt right on the passenger side.
so i lift it and pull off the wheels and this is what i see

on top of this, where the lugnut is on the top caliper bolt there is a huge stack of washers on the bottom caliper bolt. the caliper bolt holes were complete stripped to shit so genious brother decided to run a larger bolt in there that didnt even almost fit, hence the need for the handy dandy lugnut. also because the new and improved caliper bolts are just large bolts bound up with lugnuts, and not the right slide pin bolts, the caliper is stuck and doesnt slide on the bracket
i couldnt help but laugh
edit: oh yeah, forgot to note that because the caliper is upsidedown, the brake line was completely twisted and kinked

I doubt his "brother" did that work. I'd venture to guess that he did that shitty work himself and is too ashamed to admit it.

Are there words to describe his "brothers" stupidity?

One of my Mom's friends had her boyfriend do her brakes. He just cut off the wear indicators and told her to buy new pads "when they went on sale."
Because you know, new pads are so expensive.
The sad thing about this job is how long it probably took whoever did it to get it back together.

ok i have a few thoughts on this one. first id like to know what the guy was thinking while he was .....installing the brakes. cuz i know somewhere along the line he had to have said.."man i fucked up". but intstead of stopping and undo.. go through more trouble of trying to get it to umm, stay on i guess. 2nd, i think i know my own brother well enough to know he dont know shit about cars or brakes for that matter, did his not? i didnt know it was possible to put on a caliper backwards tho, with the right idiot....and wrong parts/places , i guess anything can be done
