Cam is out. Debating on whether to pull the heads. I really don't know what I got from Extreme so it would be "educational". I'd like to verify intake/exhaust valve sizes and take a closer look at the port job. Heads make decent HP but so far it looks like a basic port match. I see a little work around the valve seats, I'd sure like to see the valve job quality etc.

Going to need new springs if I want to run any cam with more lift and I really don't know what valve seats I have, springs, installed height etc. Thats why I wanted a valve spring micrometer. A dial guage would also be helpful just to see the spring and retainer OD/ID, not to mention valve stem size.

Getting the crank hub was very easy, only took a day and a half. What a PITA.

:D Glad to hear you got everything apart. I am already thinking about how my car is going to sound with a cam and I dont even have it yet:lol If the springs are Isky's, they should use the stock seats but I guess that is what makes it fun, guessing what you have. I cant wait to install all of that stuff next week!!! Ill be there Saturday for sure!!!:D

I'm going to try and pull the heads during the week, but the only time I have will be after work. Really doesn't look like it will be too bad, expecially since I can stand inside the engine bay in front of the engine. Hardest part will be the headers. Drivers side looks like cake, passenger side more interesting. Accessories bracket PS and AC, and the starter underneath. I'm figuring on trying just to loosen the headers at the collector bolts and see if I can tilt them out of the way to get at all of the head bolts. Getting them off doesn't look like it will be too bad, trying to put them on and having the room to properly torque them looks like it could be more of a challenge.

Why are you pulling the heads again? Just to check them out? While they are off, you should have them flow tested up that SGC. I think Jen works Wed and Thurs so I could possibly help ya on those 2 days if I dont have an obsene amount of homework but I will definatly be there on Saturday to put everything back together. Are you going to order the goodies today and also, are you going to have to re-tune that biach?

Three prong puller 1/4 inch socket extension, with another socket that fit over the end of the extension. Exactly like the picture that you sent me. Couldn't have done it without you.
