Anybody want to do a tech day to clean the IMRC? JD and I are deleting the PCV system and I think we both need to clean the IMRCs. Anyone else want to try this?

Why are you eliminating the PCV valve?

The problem with the IMRCs is that carbon builds up on them and starts to block the opening for the secondaries. This carbon buildup is a result of the PCV putting the excess blow-by back into the intake. With teh butterflies shut below 3250rpm, the carbon sits on the flap and starts to buildup. The smart thing to do is to clean the IMRCs and then delete the PCV thereby keeping them clean from now on. Two small $20 crankcase breathers, a couple of vacuum caps, and its deleted. Does this make sense?

Yep, it makes sense. I was worried you were going to blow out your seals by eliminating the PCV system. The breathers should work fine. Carbon build-up sucks.

Haha, yeah, but Matt doesn't have this problem. Only the 4V guys.
