Im in the middle of gathering parts for a cam install and so far, Ive got a cam and springs, retainers, seats, and locks on the way(thanks Mark), lifters on order, rockers and timing chain picked out, and then the tune and all of the gaskets for the intsall. 93s came with hardened push-rods so Im good there if they are all striaght. Do you think now would be a good time to upgrade injectors or will my stock 22lbers will do for now? Is there anything else that I am forgetting? Thanks.

305 cam? Jons car maxed out the stock injectors with a hot cam. Upgraded to SVO 24lbers i think. Something to think about.

one thing i didnt think about was mark said he thinks he maxed his out and ordered #30(or#24?) in another thread i think...i know it wasnt the solution to his problem, but just something to think about for a vote for bigger ones...#24 may be just right too
but then again it should run ok for a good bit without an upgrade so i wouldnt feel like you have to

SVO 30#. The 93's had 22# injectors, 94-97 had 24#. The 24# on later models are barely adequete for the stock setup (my a/f becomes tad lean past 5800). Go with the 30# SVO injectors and an AFPR, an extra pump never hurts down the road either.

Yea, cash is tight so the fuel system might have to wait a lil down the road but Im not going to race the car until I get my tranny fixed(famous last words:lol: ) I think it will be ok for at least a lil while. Mark, do you have any upgraded fuel stuff other than your 30lbers? If not, that makes it easy but since you have a lil bit of everything on that car, Im sure you have something:D

Those SVO 24s will flow ~26 lbs converted to GM pressure. Plenty big for that cam. No need to go insane with the injector ratings.
