New Sheby Cobra

i was getting on i-10 yesterday and saw a new stang coming up but something looked different about it. it was definitely lower and had just an overall different stance than any one i've seen. so it passes me and i see that its black with 2 gold stripes down the center, dark rims, and the letters SHELBY across the back trunk lid. traffic was bad so i just stayed behind him for a while, and when traffic cleared up i got to get beside him to see if he wanted to play. i'm pretty sure this guy would have, so i go to down shift and my Pro 5.0 shifter handle goes all the way forward--then i pull it back and it comes all the way back. it was in nuetral and would not let me select any gears:-o so i cut the hazards on and pulled over, pulled the console up and found bottom bolt on ths shifter handle had come off, so basically the handle was just pivoting on the shifter. it was re-goddamn-diculous cuz i really wanted to see what this new car is all about. well i globbed a shit load of loctite on it to make sure that this shit won't happen again. but i guess i lost this one even though a race never took place

EDIT: yeah i thought the rear of the car looked pretty plain for being a shelby special edition vehicle.

Those cars only get the perfomance pack 2 upgrade. Its got a throatier exhaust, a new cai and a retune. They want ridiculous amounts of money to rent them though. I saw one on my way to Miami last week and the guy was doing 65 mph in a 70 in it. I would be driving the shit out of that thing.

Same thing happened to me about a month ago- had to pull over and finger tighten the bolt in till i could find a gob of locktite and an allen wrench- pretty messed up

I saw a fleet of those cars walking to the car rental section at the San Fran airport, by the time we rented our car there and were leaving there were only about 2 left of the 8-10 I had seen just an hour earlier. I even saw one driving around in the mountains 2 days later, he looked like he was enjoying his ride.
