while pressure testing my radiator i discovered a small hole in the plastic part just under the over flow tube. it really dosnt leak that bad, just keeps the pressure too low causing the temp to rise and the car to run hotter than normal. any suggestions. i've been told a 2 part apoxy over JB weld so so far thats what i'm gonna try. any other suggestions would be helpful.

jb might work , make sure you clean it good with degreaser or something so it will stick better

ALL aluminum radiator and not worry about it anymore.
stuck in traffic with an overheating car isn't fun.

I purchased an aluminum radiator off of ebay for a project I was working on, and it was quality.
just an idea.
good luck.

Replace it. I know its costly but do it right the first time. If there is one hole in it even if the JB weld holds how long before another thin spot blows out. Dont let it leave you stranded.

replace it and be done with it. aftermarket radiators available are prolly better than what came on yours originally.

Modine has good radiators for cheap (and heater cores btw) - Advanced might even have a half decent one...I'm running an advanced auto radiator myself...

Most of the radiators at Advance are crazy expensive. Just go straight to Modine, save some cash, and be done with it. That is if you don't want to go aftermarket.

Call Rodger @ RAC 412-0100. Usually cheaper than Modine

I would just go with a new one if I were you but you could use jb weld, it works wonders but defently make sure that the area is good and clean and dry before applying it

I went through this same ordeal with my 84 Porsche 944. The radiator sprung a leak that caused her to run hotter than normal (which was pretty hot) and the fan was constantly kicking on. I found a nice one on ebay for almost half the price that many of the Porsche suppliers wanted and replaced it myself in about an hour. It's well worth the extra cash to have peace of mind while sitting in traffic. Getting stranded by a radiator sucks, ask me how I know.

summit sells good aluminum off-brand radiators. my 3 core aluminum 32 x 19 for the truck was $189.

i would try the jb weld til i got the money. i have replace my radiator twice. its right at 200 bucks for a oem. and a bitch to put in, in my experience.
