If you had asked me I would have told you that. Then I would have said I would help ya. Then when you said it will be at my house/friends house/parents house/on the ground I would have said I will bring my car trailer load it and take it to the shop.

it aint no thang, this like the 12th time ive pulled one of them with most of them on my back. got a scare this time though because the jack im using now has better wheels than my old one so when i tried to shove the tranny back really hard where itll usually barely move with my old jack, this time it flew out and almost landed on my head

Build the T56 stronger.....autos are so gay.

the 2004r is much stronger (i think) than the 350, and has good ratios if you do go auto, the same tranny that people use in the GN Turbo cars running low 11's....but slowLX is right, manual is so much better. if you go turbo i would say auto so as to not loose boost between shifts, but for the TA i think the t56 would be the best bet...but thats just my opinion..

the only benefit to the 200r4 is overdrive. they are heavier and far more expensive to build strong
btw low 11's aint gonna cut it. my bone stock t56 has been holding that for over 3 years. IF i put a new tranny in the car it has to be able to hold single digits

Ryan, Mark can throw you together a t-56 that can hold single digits without a problem in a weekend. All you gotta do is buy some parts.

Thats why you have Mark build you one and you keep on doing what youve been doing by banging gears like a mofo. ;)

absolutely not...but for a car thats sole purpose is to race in a strait line...I take a stalled auto over a 6spd. For something I am gonna drive all the time...its all about bangin the gears

I think I'll never own an auto, it just not fun to drive.

I don't think so. If that was true all the N/A drag cars would be running AOD's but they're not.

I don't know, even parts for a single digits T56 are going to be in the 2 to 3k range for parts alone. Input shaft output shaft and different gears with a more aggressive cut. Still T56 is a pretty strong mofo, good solid rebuild parts are less than 400. Output shaft swap requires machining of the tail housing, but I think D&D will sell you one complete for about 750. I swear the weakest link in the whole damn thing are the stamped steel keys - a set of billet keys runs about a 100 if I remember correctly. Course the only problem with that is that if one goes in will probably take out some gears. Rebuild is pretty easy though.
