i have a 96gt and put an x pipe on it. I have 4 02 sensors on the car and put mils on the back 02 sensors. Is it possible to put mils on the front?

I have never heard of anyone putting them on the fronts but I dunno, Im a chevy guy. If I were you, I would take it up to AutoZone and have them run your codes and find out for sure what it is. :D

You only want the MILs on the backs anyway... get your codes pulled and then we can probably help.

i had auto zone read the codes... ph156 it says something about the o2 sensor in bank 2 is messing up. I bought 2 brand new o2s and the check engine light is still coming on. do you think that i could have bad mils? The car is eating gas, hesitating while accelerating, and spitting out gas/smoke out the tail pipes while accelerating form a dead stop.

Umm, your mils are most likley good. Did you reset your pcm? Also, are you sure you replaced the correct oxegen sensor. I get confused with all the bank 1 crap. You could always take it back up the AutoZone to see if the same cope gets pulled again.

sounds like bad mils to me, but I didn't think the rear 02's did anything that effected how the computer controls the car. I have an extra set of 02's if needed.

i pulled that code, along with many others. It is your rear drivers side o2 sensor. a way to see if it is your MIL's are messing up, switch the MIL's around and see if you pull a different code (Bank 1). This still shouldn't effect how your car runs because the rear o2's don't do much, but you can check it out

so if the 02's do not do that much, do you know what could cause the loss of power? any ideas where i can take the car, Reasonable...

Your problem of hesitation and loss in powerhas nothing to do with the rear O2s. The MIL eliminators only get rid of the light coming on. You should have no problems other than the light being without the MIL eliminators. Your problem is somewhere else. Maybe your new O2s were bad as well? Did you replace the front ones?

my car did this the day I hollowed my cats, I have no MIL's but one of the front sensors was bad and causing that same problem, I replaced both front ones...

only the front o2's cause problems with how your car runs, but if they were bad, you would pull the code. I don't think your problem has anything to do with the o2's, but i have no idea what it could be. Then again, i could be wrong

I will be able to run the code in about a week. I just bought some scanning software and an OBD II adapter for my palm pilot...hopefully it will work.

well if it comes back on and you pull code 0136 (i think), then you know one of the MIL's is bad.
