ryan and i were talkin about it the other night....where was the place in atlanta?...then theres norris. I might send mine off to Allen over on ls1truck.com...its not dyno tuning, but he'll have a dyno in a month he told me..... and is stock so he could just plug my pcm(or yours) in his truck and adjust to the settings you want...you'd have to give him tire size and gearing and such....he only charges around $300-350 as opposed to Norris' $500+.....ryan isnt your next tune pretty much free cuase of the last one?

and doesnt Aaron @ SGV know/do dyno tuning for GM's?

lees high tech trucks will do it for 450. i'll probably just have them do it since they're making the harness. that way everything will work together

he has an s10 with a v8 there. its just some minor programming. its not really tuning or anything. just taking stuff off that i don't need. like the vats and such. i don't think that i have to have it done but it would be beneficial.

Damn 450 to turn off codes. Might as well get edit and do it yourself. A deleting codes and gear change tune should run around $200. Check this out PCM tuning prices (http://www.ls1tech.com/threads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB10&Number=708744&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=93&fpart=1)

for non dyno tuning norris charges like 200-250, maybe less

anybody with a tech II tool can change your tire size and delete vats(your harness should come with a vats bypass though)...cant think of any codes you'd set right off the bat unless you leave sensors unplugged....no reason to pay for a dynotune and only get a few codes removed...call a dealer(one who would be cool with it) and see if they'll help you out, doesnt seem like much to do, just plug and press a few buttons

i thought about edit...is it really that hard?

Messing with the timing and maf tables isnt fun.

i'm using the stock maf. i didn't think i needed to get any programming done but a few people have told me i needed to. we'll see how it goes without it.
