Hey my name is Chase, I came out there last Saturday night with the blue truck to see what was goin on. I've been trying to find a club similar to one back home called Project Max RPm (it was founded by a ricer with a Turbo Eclipse... the name is gay, I know). They were all tight though, every Saturday night we would meet up at the mall (in Ft. Walton Beach) and ride out to Pensacola and chill at Bayfront and the cruise out to Navarre beach at around 11:30 to race. They didnt have any real strict rules, it was just to hang out and race, and y'all seem to be real close to that. I was hopin y'all wouldnt mind if I came out there and chilled with y'all again, and maybe take it out to the streets to mess with some ricers sometime. Just ridin around lookin for people isnt really cuttin it for me. So far i am 1 for 2... got beat by a sleeper turbo eclipse, it wasnt THAT fast but i definitely wasnt ready (and I have some fuel issues right now) and i tore up a 3rd Gen Accord, but that was a gimme.

I have a 95 Chevy 1500 with the TBI 350, Hooker supercomp headers... "high flow";) ;) cats and dual flowmasters. The heads are ported and i have a slightly bigger cam, but not enuf fuel or chip to handle it all so i lose power over 4000 rpms... I also have an Eaton Posi with 3.73 gears... so I have at least ONE thing goin for me, i can get a good launch. Well hopefully I'll see y'all tomorrow night!

oh... the good power is comin! if i get all A's or very close to it this semester my parents are gonna help me get a GM Perf. Parts circle track 350 with 350hp and 390lbft of torque and then i start savin for the procharger for carburetors! I need a new motor, mine has almost 100000 miles on it and its not meant for racing at all, slready broke it twice (rod bearing), but one time it wasnt my fault!

Yea man, come on out whenever. We arent going to be meeting at the lot tonight because of a going away party for one of our members but Im sure you could swing by there if you want. Otherwise, we meet on Tuesdays at 10 at the Sonic on Monroe accross from Lake Ella and then at 10 at the lot on Tenn and Macolm on Fridays again starting next week. We are starting to go up to Schlotsky's on Thursdays now just because there are normally a lot of cars to look(laugh) at and its just another excuse to hang out. Welcome aboard! :D

No, my truck doesn't have a stripe, its a Light blue chevy with 18" Boyd Coddington's and it has a 4/6 Drop. I don't think i have a picture on this computer, but I'll have my mom e-mail me my pictures of it.
I've been to the 1/8th mile at holt, its about 30 minutes from home, and before the heads and gears/posi (with a 3.08 open) it ran a 10.3... I'm thinkin it wont be a whole lot better right now because i need to do some fuel upgrades, but I beat a friends 4.7L QuadCab Dakota, so its all good (after he had talked ALOT of shit he ran a 10.7), and I can take my best friend's Accord pretty well (10.4-6), which for some reason isn't all that slow... He has raced identical accords with the same mods and beat em pretty good, we dont understand it, maybe the prior owner did some stuff we dont know about!

Alright, what else goes on around here tonight? I just enjoy hangin out with car people, because I'm sure my room mate gets tired of me talkin about my truck!

Also i need to calibrate my speedometer, but my truck is too old for a hypertech programmer, and I have no clue what i need, or how to do it, or who can do it. Any suggestions?

No but i did happen to be in the same places as the people who are several times. The truck has only been in tallahassee for about a week and a half, but I try to ride around as much as i can. On the PSR site the eclipse racing the CRX (and getting WHOOPED by the CRX) is my friend Mike Burton. He was the founder of Project Max RPM. I forget what their site is tho... they just got it workin, its real long. Anyway his eclipse made "over 200 hp" to the wheels, he wouldnt tell us exactly, but the guy at the shop that dyno'ed it told me it was around 225, and it made over 250 lb ft of torque... so that CRX has to be damn fast! I'd love to talk to the guy with the truck on PSR, it is fast too. I think he has a Vortec tho, which has heads infinitely better than my crap ones. The new motor I am hoping to get has Vortec heads. I should have got some instead of workin on mine, then i could have got a vortec TBI manifold and had better flow with the manifold AND good head design, instead of 1960-type head crap.

I thought about it... but they are WAY too expensive, and for style reasons (tryin to stay with a motor offered in the same year as my truck) I had thought about an LT1 with LT4 components, but again not enough money. I know its not as good a a pimp ass fuel injected corvette motor, but that carbureted 350 I want DOES make more torque and just as much power as the LS1, but I am somewhat worried about some of the horror stories I hear about carburetors. ive never owned anything other than a nitro R/C car or a wave runner that had a carb, so I dont know. Don't get me wrong that LS1 would be BAD ASS and i could put an ATI procharger on it later and kick some SERIOUS ass, but again no money. A supercharger for the carb SBC is $1899 and a Holley NOS kit is $450 (depending on which one you look at, top-shot, proshot, whatever) and $4000 and $550 respectively for my TBI motor, and like $5000 on the supercharger for a vette. Yeah, the carb supercharger wasnt intercooled, but an intercooler is $6-700... I'm seein the carb right now. Now if y'all can help me find an LT1 or LS1 for $3000 i'll be all over it! But that'll be near impossible...
And i dont blame the man for wanting an F-body... i would go with a camaro if I could bring myself to sell my truck, but that sure aint gone happen. Alright it is definitely 4:52 Am good lord... i need to stop playin Drag racin games.

mine was right at 3g's shipped with tranny and complete motor(minus clutch). i had an LT1 i was gonna build but sold it to a buddy in gainesville. it now sits in his 96 GMC.....

Ya know, if I could get an LS1 cheap my whole style deal wouldnt really matter to me = ). I'll check on that stuff and see what i can find. I don't have a job yet, but I am kinda startin to look, I'm tryin to see how classes go, but I have plenty of free time so I dont think I'll have a problem. Back in Ft. Walton people have some fast cars, but only cause they are in the military and don't have to pay for anything else... In the last car club i was kinda in, there was only one person that was not in the military, and he had just graduated high school.

Also, you dont know what that guy from PSR with the truck runs in the 1/8 do ya?

i stayed on ebay 24/7 and sniped my motor with 10 seconds left....most of the autos go for around 3400-3600....M6's are 3800-4000...they are very popular on ebay, just keep watchin
