He fucked some plays up, and made some pretty decent ones as well. But theres no consistency with the guy. Always hit or miss. Jones didnt do much either. They kept running up the middle getting no where. What about that 4th and 17 that we went for instead of kicking the field goal! What the fuck was that all about! It ended up being a good play had it been called in, but what shitty play calling. That could have cost us the game. I did have fun screaming my voice away at all the Tech fans in the 4th quarter though!

FSU got away with one last night. We didnt play anywhere near our capability but we were lucky enough to be playing a not so good team. I will agree with you though, great comeback!!!

rix = cry baby drama queen
Grabbing his neck and shit pretending to be hurt, but as soon as they score, hes jumping up and down and bobbing his head like a little slut. And this hunching over in front of his teammates is not a sign of a leader, its a sign of a sore vagina cheerleader. Yes i hate rix, ive met him in person at BW3 and his attitude sucked.

He's dumb as hell. Everytime I see him he looks lost. Even if he's sitting somewhere he looks like he doesn't even know where he is.
Rix did do some bad passes etc. But the receivers missed plenty of passes their self’s. Its not just Rix. When Rix pulls it together, he is a good QB. He just gets flustered and it doesn't help when his own fans are booing him. On one early pass into the endzone, he threw where he was suppose too. But the receiver screwed up and went the wrong route.

yeah, this whole Rix hating bandwagon is getting old. The guy is pretty decent QB. Picking at him and hating him was so freshmen year. The guy has gotten much better since that season (except for the missing an exam ordeal  )
there was an insane amount of passes that Rix threw last night that hit the receivers and then popped up into the air. That's not all Rix's fault.
and i've met Rix too, he plays tennis. Also drives a 5.0. how can you hate that? 8)

Apparently after last night, all it takes for him to get his shit together is minor head trauma. Is it just me or does he start to make passes after he takes a big hit and gets his bell rung? From now on, somone needs to bash him in the head BEFORE the game starts.
The defense was awesome. They are the ones that won that game for us. Yet they still give rix the player of the game. I think he sucks. Its not a bandwagon, its the truth. Here is a quote that hear so many times about rix....... "he COULD be a great player" problem is he never will be.

i volunteer for that job. i can't promise he'll be able to play though, or eat solid food for about a week though. i just really hate his attitude. sure he made some good passes, but he also made some terrible passes and terrible decisions. he concentrates on hismain receiver so much that he doesnt leave his options open for the secondary receivers.

Met Rix on the tennis courts...thinks he's God and they should leave the facility open just for him. Also he got rid of the 5.0 for a Tahoe or some similar SUV...looks mighty "paid for"
But on another note, I never lost faith in my boy! (lol Matt)

Because our kicker sucks, and has missed too many f/g's this year to let him kick that one from that distance. If we missed it we would have given them great position anyway...

actually, it was the referees fault that the 4th and 17 play didn't work, cuz he was IN BOUNDS!!! Rix isn't all that bad, his attitude may suck, but he is a pretty tough kid. When he is in a rythm he is deadly.

I agree with Andy on the fieldgoal situation...About Rix, l I think he really plays his ass off to win, I mean the guy puts his body in danger trying to run the ball and even set blocks when he has to...I mean how about last game when he took that huge shot and his earpiece went soarin in the air. But whoever mentioned the thing about throwing it to the Thorpe all the time is right, they need to throw the ball to PK SAM...the guys a fuckin badass, hes always open and he is the one making the big catches...hes the key to winning the big games and gettin us to the national championship

Thats true, our kicker does suck. But they scored almost half there points on field goes, and had they got in decent position could have nailed another and game over. The play they got off was a great play and I was in the nosebleeds and could see he was in bounds. Honestly, I think its ridiculous to hate on Rix so much. Sure hes probably full of himself and has some maturing to do, but he does play hard. A few of his passes were off last night, but 2-3 were great passes that were dropped. Bashing Rix isnt going to help the cause. Hes what weve got to work with so I try to atleast half-ass support him.

I will never understand why Greg Jones does not touch the ball alot more. We can not rely on Rix's passing to carry us through the entire season. Must find running game.....

Jones still isn't 100%. You can see him hesitating when he gets the ball. He should be running through people, not around them.

How can you tell me he isnt 100% when he lowered his shoulder and lifted him 3 feet in the air and knocked his helmet off. If that is only say 75%, he would be untouchable at 100%. He is fine, he just wasnt feeling it and the defence was.

Remember last year before he got hurt? He is nowhere near that. Ask anyone, he isn't 100%. You can tell in his rushing, he's hesitating where he used to just plow through. He's afraid of getting reinjured.

Yeah open field, one person. Sure it was an awesome hit, but where is the gamefilling hits? The Greg Jones I remember last year would have picked Reid up on his shoulder, carried him five yards then ran over three more UNC players then toss Reid down like he was spiking a football.

Jones is alright, he just cant really make hard cuts yet with that knee still kindof fucked up. The D just played him super tight and there wasnt much he was able to do.

Have you ever had a knee injury? Ever had one surgically repaired? If you had, you'd know that they can take YEARS to fully heal. Even if he's able to run, the added force on the knee from making the kind of driving runs we're used to seeing him make is pushing it too hard for someone who had complete ligament tears less than a year before.
Did he clock that guy in the first game? Absolutely. Has he been running around trying to make cuts and getting hit in the pile during both practice and games? Yep, and while he's doing that, he's been finding out that as much amazing progress he's made during rehab, he's still limited in what he can do full speed.
Has he found out that it's too much to run like he used to at this point even if he feels strong when running in a straight line? Highly likely. He's still testing that knee out. IF you had watched THE game here in town the other night (I can only guess that you were joking about FAMU being a real game, right?) , you'd have seen him run right and then try to go off tackle, only to slide out because he tried to make the cut on on his left leg to avoid stressing the right knee.
He's not back, and the only reason he's out there is because a hurt Greg Jones is better than most anybody out there.
As for Rix, I don't know the kid. Seems like in the past he's exemplified the term "pompous jackass". Then again, the people in the locker room who were screaming for his benching last year have all gotten behind him because they SAY they've seen a change in him for the better. They see him every day. They SAY he's changed. They're all supporting him and working with him on the field, and the TEAM (note the stressing of that word) has finally begun to gel and showed a unified, "never say die" attitude on the field Saturday night.
Seems to me the last couple of times I saw FSU quarterbacks get credit for big come-from-behind fourth quarter victories, Charlie Ward and Danny Kanell were the big question marks that turned out to be a little better than average.;)
Take it easy, wait and see how the next couple of games go. You're going to see some fireworks here pretty soon. Let the O-line get some more games under their belts. THEN start talking about whether or not the skill-position players are worth their salt.
