Automatics get a cast crank instead of the steel crank in the 5spd. They redline at like 5800 rpm instead of 6800 like the 5spd. The cpu shuts the car down at around 130 instead of 151. They can be made faster, but start out life slower than the manuals.

Cobra!!!!! Why spend that much more on something that isn't that much faster??? What are the stock 1/4 mile times on the zo6?

The 00 R did 1.0 on the skidpad. I'm aslmost certain the 03 accomplished no such feat.

seems like ive seen 11's with traction.....isnt too far off....ls6 405hp, probably puttin right around what ryans puttin to the wheels, in a lighter car...and i'd think right's good for 11's with a 60' better than 2.4....or whatever his best was

Don't forget that the Z06 handles better than most Ferraris. And you can pick up a used one for about what you pay for an 03 Cobra....

I still don't like the styling. As far as I'm concerned, 82 was the last year of the Corvette. My dad's 67, now that's a real Corvette.

well, i've gone for a ride in a z06 a couple times, and it's a fucking sweet machine, no doubt. I'd have to ride in a cobra first to compare though. The one thing that the z0r automatically wins though is the interior. It comes in black, which every sport/muscle car interior should be. 8)

the weight of the corvette is also an important factor. plus aftermarket availability is good as well.
