I need to get my speedometer recalibrated cause it is off by about 17% since I got my new gears, and it also affects my top speed limiter and my odometer so I need ot get it fixed soon... I cant just do it with a programmer cause my truck is too old, y'all know of anyone in town that can do that?

What year model is it again? I believe you do it with a speed sensor buffer located behind the glove box. You have to order it from chevrolet for your particular gear ratio. If you have a 89 - 91, then you have to send off your speedo cluster to have it calibrated.

Its a 95... yeah I guess that makes sense cause that's where the computer is. I wish I had a 96 that would have made so many things so much easier. I'd already have "real" fuel injection with good heads and the computer would control EVERYTHING. Oh well...
Thanks by the way,
I guess I'l have to go talk to the chevy place = þ

Yeah gotta get that limiter fixed too... i mean, its not like I HAVE to go over 100... but it'd be nice. That'll come with the chip tho... you'd think cutting fuel at wide open throttle at 100mph would be bad on the motor?!?

Yeah, they do... its $80 on the Dakota Digital website but I can also use it if I get an Escalade gauge face to adjust for the 120mph speedo and not have ot buy the whole cluster that might not work anyway.
Thanks!
I'll call Chevy too and see if it is cheaper to have them do it, or if their box is cheaper.

Oh Brandon...
If you ever need any help on your truck I'd love to help, cause I want to learn more about doin stuff, cause I need to learn to do more myself... I might not be able to do much more than fetch tools or help torque something down, but I'd love to learn. I'm kinda spoiled cause I could get free installation on just about everything I used to have done, although I still can, i dont want to have to drive back home to have things done.
That goes for anyone else too. If you are doing something that you need an extra pair of hands on just let me know... my e-mail is way2qwik@cox.net.

Chevy sends em too Jacksonville to be re-"programmed"(mainly just the mileage) from what i hear. and the esky clusters are few and far between, and quite pricey when they pop up on ebay ~$300
