Was he really that stupid? A robber threatened the clerk at a bank with a pistol and demanded $13,700. On being told the till contained nowhere near that amount, he lowered his demand to $6,800. When the clerk again refused, he asked to withdraw a more modest amount of cash from his OWN account. The clerk agreed, but demanded to see the robber's ID to perform the transaction. Unbelievably, the thief obliged, which made it quite simple for the police to make a quick arrest.
