HAHAHA you took my idea... i was gonna say screw the vette, its goin in my truck! Or maybe they need to at least put it in a 1500... hell, even the big-ghey-SS. I dont care how heavy it is, 500 hp will make anything move! (well not ANYTHING, but you get the idea)

I'm also seein a possible 300+hp GTP... (thats just in my little head... probably never gonna happen, but it could!) They said in there their makin V6's like that too... I dont particularly like V6's and I really dont like FWD's either... but a SC 300hp V6 would be pretty bad ass. Props to Chevy for doin some extra cool techno stuff! And I'm not tryin to sound all rational and stuff... but what would Chevy need a 500hp V8 for? I know that would be awesome in the Vette, and I am not sayin I don't want 500hp... but why cant they put some of this money into makin a Lightning-beater or something. With the new Bad ass Lightning and the SRT Ram, that 6.3 better see a Reg Cab SS at some point or I'll be pissed! It would be soooo nice to brag to the Ford and Dodge guys, "Yeah Supercharger? What the hell do ya need a supercharger for? And you mister 'I have a 5000 lb unaerodynamic viper'... whats with this 8 litre V-10 mess, NA V8 is all I need!!!" :twisted:

ford's already got a sweet platform for a mean MEAN machine.

the modular 6.8 V10. I saw one with stock heads, cams, forged internals, and a kenne-bell make 700HP and 700+ ft/lbs of torque with minimal boost.

and it didnt sound like no pussy-ass viper V10, either.

Check out the article... the diagram of how the valves work is goofy as hell... but i guess its a good thing... just a little shy of 100 hp/Litre with pushrods... how cool is that!

And the new Viper V10 aint as gay soundin as the old one... but I still dont quite like it.

Is that just gonna be the Z06? b/c I heard that the base C6 would get a 6.0L w/ 400+hp

This current engine has DOD (displacement on demand) it gets 35+mpg highway. Dont know if it will make it to production though.

The base vette is 'projected' to be rated at 400 with the ZO6 rated at ~500. Ive read the ZO6 will have that powerplant in 06, so i dont know if there will be an 05 ZO6. The new LS2 will most likely be a 6.0L and the LS7 to be 6.3L

i was wondering with the DOD, would there be a delay when you romped on it from cuising speed, or would it just pick up the cylinders as soon as it detects more throttle input.

And i wonder what it would sound like cruisin too... only firin on 4 cylinders...
