Are the numbers in your sig on the other site from the 20th after the blower? That can't be right, can it?

I just noticed that, and yikes, I hope its not right. Well if its his only mod? Still doesn't sound right. I dunno

Something is wrong. Go get a new tune and search for leaking boost. A magnacharger setup on my ls6 V puts down more power than that......

looks good. 435/410 from a blown LS2? any other mods other than the maggie + tune?

From his sig on that page, the only performance mods are the Magnacharger/tune and exhaust

2006 Black/Black A6 Z51. Magnacharger, Carravaggio front and rear quarter panels, Z06 nose & Spoiler, RKSport hood, Corsa Sport exhaust, Chrome Z06 wheels, Z06 brakes, Real Carbon fiber interior.

Dyno 10/20: 435RWHP 410RWTQ

The numbers can't be too far off. Chase made 335ish WHP with only a tune. So a blower and exhaust add 100whp. Nice setup.

Looks like stock A6's make ~330/335 at the wheels......so I guess that's a gain of ~100rwhp and ~75rwtq. Still, go throw some bolt-ons on it stat!

c6vette
10-24-2006, 07:11 PM
Base for my 06 Automatic was 322.7 RWHP and 320.7 RWTQ

moved up to 435.2 RWHP and 410.6 RWTQ

=112.5 RWHP / 89.9 RWTQ from the maggie and custom tune

used medium pulley and putting out 5 - 5.5lbs boost. There is plenty of room...smaller pulley, cam, headers, intake...etc...

Damn, I thought the fbodies made more than that. My poor little 4.6L (281) made 415 with just a blower and currently 465.

Dunno...thats what it was...we were hoping to do some runs when it got cooler out as it was 91* and 85% humidity when we did these in orlando.

get some headers and up the boost

BreBar21

spent around $24K for:
Maggie
Tune
Gauges ( Autometer boost/vacuum & fuel pressure) & Pillar $8145

Wheels $1095 + Tires $1100

brakes $1200

Front bumper and all hardware $1500

Caravaggio front and rear quarts $2500

Rksport hood $840

Painting of all panels + install $6900 (took 4 tests as GM uses yellow and white in their black tint)

Tax $1000

HOLY FUCK!!!! What lucky shop did the paint and install for the body panels?? I thought you were getting a forged bottom end??

c6vette
10-24-2006, 08:32 PM
did not end up needing forged bottom end due to amount of boost currently running. Also discussed mp112 vs. mp90 and there was no real significant gains on the ls2 motor...would have more benefit on larger disp engine like the ls7.

agree about the costs for the paint and install. It was $6900 for paint, install, and front bumper and all its hardware. It was $3000 more then my shop in tampa said, but these guys were recommended directly from carravaggio and NLP both and they handle all corvettes as well as they are right behind one of the largest chevy dealerships. The quality was top notch and there are no blems at all.

thanks for finding a typo in that thread though. it should say $5200 for paint and install, as I had put the bumper/parts price already in there.

I am very happy with it and know there is a lot of ground I can gain with something as simple as intake and headers. It looks great, rides great, sounds sick, and stops on a dime. Had a few runs to 120 on cap cir NE this afternoon with some friends from work and we all had great grins.

It is now more fun then my s281E vert was, and that makes it worth it to me.

sometimes its worth it to just pay to have other people do quality work and not have to worry, the saying always works- you get what you pay for

I understand. But to me it is not all about HP. It was about making a total package. It looks more aggressive like a z06, and puts out more to the wheels but I can take the top off and drive around town. My goal was not max HP or I would have installed an APS TT for only $3K more and saved the price of the hood and had 200more RWHP. My goal was everyday drivability up here. What will run longer...my car or a car with 1000hp? I am happy with it. Its a 6 month old vette w/ $20K of look good/feel good mods that I can take to work everyday.

Love the looks. Black with chrome, ALWAYS a good choice. Not sure I would've gone the looks over hp route but to each their own and as long as you're happy with it, that's all that really matters.

Mine was $55K...a Z runs in the high $60's - $70's. There can also be market adjustment, although my dealership is now doing below sticker on them.

Bare bones Vette can be had for about 45k, a loaded up one is up there in the $50s. I think his is pretty loaded, 3LT + NAV, Z51.

Definitely a sweet ride, no question. Did all that work void the factory warranty?

holy shit!.... for $500, I would have just thrown a 100 shot on there and called it a day!....

I think it would have been cheaper to buy a zo6 and make it a targa top than to do what you just did....

probaly voided any type of engine work. It was up at univ chevy today getting my wheels sensors reset and they ended up calling 2 people to look at it that had Z06's and they were both envious of the Automatic and removable roof I had with the same look and power.

although one of them has a deposit down for a blue devil that he should get next summer.

very nice man. all that matters is you got what you want and your satisfied. everybody is going to want something different which is why you do what you want. personally i wouldnt follow down the path everybody wants which is why there is no accord in the world like mine.... well its safe to say its the widest one in the world. like you said the numbers are where you want them. 1000whp is definately not daily drivable. def enjoy man
