Don't think I posted these here. New chromes, headlights and corners, 2" rear drop.

You need to come to Breakaway sometime and run the 1/8th. There is a Z28 out of P.C. I think, thats running low 7's. That should be a good race for you. I know its the 1/8th, but they prep the track really well and you back into the water box instead of having to drive thru. My best there is only .02 slower there than my 1/8th time a SGMP.

What kind of mods to your L to get down to 13s?

I'm nowhere near a low 7 in the 1/8th so i dont' know how good of a race that would be. i really don't think i'd enjoy running 1/8 mile tracks--my shit does better up top it seems. but i have heard good things about breakaway.

1/8 mile seems a little longer/shorter than a street race--but on the track i'm not really concerned whose lined up beside me

stock L's run low 13's as they sit. with a little modding, they get into 12's--but the fast ones i've raced seem to lose it up top--i'm guessing aerodynamics and weight play a huge roll in that.

Times vary with track prep, altitude, etc. Most, as Tony said, run mid 13's stock. I have a chip, filter, full catless Basanni exh., ftvb(shift kit), t-bars, and et streets for the track. I'm about equal to and 03-04 model 358hp/443tq. From what I read on NLOC I have a freak. Not many have dipped as low in the 13's on stock pulleys.

Hmm.. making me reconsider the SRT10. But this L is definitely modded to go low 13s. Stock for stock, I think the SRT10 is faster (regular cab that is).

Find me one stock and I'll spank that ass. And no they are not quicker. Faster yes on top end.

Wheels look good.

Fishin-nole, are you in Panama City? (The Breakaway reference)

Breakaway is a fun track, but its either hit or miss as far as prep is concerned.

No, I'm in Chattahoochee, but Breakaway and Dothandragway(1/8th) are both about 50 miles from me. Track prep at Breakaway has always been good to me, Dothan is another story. The best I've ever pulled there was and 8.5.

For the price you would pay for one of those, you can get a very nice modded Lightning that the Roush can't touch. I know, one is used and the other has a warranty, for as long as you can go without modding. I paid 17k for mine used and am only a 4 lb. pulley away from 400hp. The Lightning is not as heavy, still a pig at 4800lbs., but I think I recall that truck is at 5600.

Is it like a copper color stalled auto car? I didn't say SOM because the car I'm referring to is actually painted some honda copper color. But if thats the car I'm thinking of, I raced him out in PC back before he had nitrous (only headers, exhaust, stall, and MT ETSR's) and I beat him by like a car and a half or 2 cars from a dig to about 110 (on my old 235's bwahaha). But then of course now he has more goodies.

It was gold and the tag read 00-z28, he was almost lifting the front wheels. Unless your GTO can run a 7.19 in the 1/8th then it wasn't him.

Again, like I said before, the guy I raced since got nitrous, (actually he had the kit at the time I raced him, just not on the car). And IIRC he was talking about spraying alot.

Could of been him, who knows? He was on drag radials, if I remember right it could have been a T-top, it had like a black top. I don't know much about GM cars, always been a Ford man. I, just in the last few years, learned how to works this internet machine.

Chase, Chris' car hasn't been running for months. He was spraying a 150 shot and he hurt the motor on his last trip to the track.

00 z28 camaro with long tubes, all bmr suspension, nos wet kit 150 shot, moser 12 bolt 430 gears, qtp cut out, air lid, century transmission ( mike kurts) 4L60E, custom jL audio w7 system with touch screen dvd player, 3200 vigilante converter. best et 7.24 at 97 mph. (BUT i hurt the motor about a month ago and im waiting on a 408 stroker iron long block from texas-speed)

Theres many LS1 fbodies that regularly run mid-low 7s out here.
