quote.... "It's just a car, you can always get another car. But you cant never bring back this boy's life."

A. He was a moron for trying to steal a cop car.
B. If somebody pulls a gun on an officer.....they are going to die. End of story.

I would say more, but I know too many officers that have been shot and this lady is just pissing me off.

Rather than ask why he had to die, maybe the family should be asking themselves why he was trying to steal someones car.

Here's my take on the reactions of 3 different political stances:

Liberal Democrat: "The family should sue the deputy and the sheriff's office in civil court after the prosecutors run 'em through the ringers!"

Right Wing Republican: "That man was justified and I feel the courts will reaffirm this!"

Constitutionalist: "The family should reimburse the deputy for his spent ammunition!"

if some one pulls a gun on an inocent person, that person should have the right to use any and all force neccessary to protect themselves, including shooting 4 times........ i dont think the issue of being a 15 year old was a concern or even detectable when this thing happened

If your 15 have a gun and Car-Jacking someone you are old enough to know exactly what consequences you face per say the jacking goes wrong. I'm sure he has watched TV before this isn't the first case someone has pulled a gun on an Off Duty or On Duty officer, and look at what happened to all the others that did. So he got what he deserved. Cop was doing what he could to make sure he went home to his family that night. As would anyone else in that situation.

if he was only shot 4 times he got off easy, the cop should have kept pulling the trigger until no more bullets came out.

People watch too many movies where they see people allow guns to be pointed at there head for 10 minutes while they talk it out. That just isn't realistic in the slightest. When a gun is pointed at anyone the person pointing it has made the decision to use it, there is no gray area. The officer doesn't need anymore reason to unload his weapon. Guns are instantaneous, you don't have to wait to get shot before you can fire back.

Whether the bullets come from a 15 year old with a gun, or a 35 year old with a gun, it doesn't matter. Your life is in danger either way.

"You can always get another car."
Say the deputy gave him the car. Who's to say the kid wouldn't kill the deputy once he got the car?

No 2 ways about it, the deputy was justified. It has nothing to do with the car being replaceable. As far as I am concerned, the deputy saved the taxpayers the expense of housing a criminal for 10 years.
Pull a gun on me and try to take even the gum in my pocket and I am going to put 13 holes in you.

Just to make it perfectly clear for some of you that have misconceptions about my views, I will write a Manifesto and post it on the forums...but for now, my view on this particular incident:

Notice that in the title, it says "Armed Car Jacking gone wrong"...as it is a QUOTE from the news report.... not my words... they reported says that phrase at the beginning of the report and pretty much lets you know it is a leftist, antigun, anti-cop report from the get-go.

I am pro freedom, pro liberty, and pro privacy - just like our founding fathers. If someone pulls a gun on you in order to commit a crime (just pulling a gun on somebody with no provocation is a crime in and of itself), you not only have the right but the responsibility to respond with deadly force. The act of displaying and pointing a firearm at another human being is assault with a deadly weapon and anyone that responds with deadly force is fully justified.

If that little future death-rower would've pulled a gun on me in an attempted car-jacking (or any other case), I wouldn't have stopped at 4 rounds unless he had friends there...

I have the feeling many of you have misconceptions of what I'm all about simply because you have put me in a category the moment I've said something you've disagreed with and I hope to clear those perceptions up fully soon.
