Does the new guy play as good of a bond as the rest excluding (timothy dalton) because I think he sucks.

Timothy Dalton was fine. George Lazenby was the worst in my opinion.

He played the part well but I was throughly unimpressed w/ the movie. The first and last 30 mins are good but everything in between was boring as shit. No Q. No gadgets. The car only got like 2 min of air time, just enough to destory it. Over all bleh.

Well, you have to think...He doesn't have all of the cool gadgets because that is when he is first starting out. I thought the movie was outstanding. One of the best that I have seen in a while. It was definitely better than the last one, by far. There were a few gaps that were hard to follow at first, but, you can get it easily.

I haven't seen it yet, but the last one was TERRIBLE.

Just saw it - I think it was pretty good. I think Craig is the 3rd best Bond so far following Connery and Brosnon.

I love Bond movies, but I was debating walking out. I hated it, I had my reservations about Craig as well as Casion Royale itself. I'll have to wait for the next oen to really be able to see how I like Craig but right now it's not looking too good. Casino Royale made an ok movie and a shitty bond movie. It was almost as bad as Die Another Day.

Ya'll do know that this movie was original written in the late '50's and was the first in the series of what is now the Bond movies. While I have not seen this movie, I did see the original one back several years ago and while it was different, it was still a good movie. Go and rent to original Casino Royale and see how it compares to this one.

I know that Casino Royale is the first in the novels. I did not know there was a previous movie. Now I am going to watch it, based on what imdb says I think I will like it a lot more and I think it will explain a few things. I knew it would not be like the typical bond movies but still I did not like it.

I thought it was an awesome movie, but it wasn't a typical bond movie. They could have named the main character anything and it would have been the same movie.

TOO MUCH INFORMATION FOLLOWS FOR ANYONE NOT REALLY INTERESTED IN BOND STUFF, SO CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!

For those so interested (or really bored right now), Casino Royale was indeed the precursor to all of the other Bond movies, but was never made as a Bond movie until now. The aforementioned "original" was a Peter Sellers (original Pink Panther actor) and Woody Allen spoof on the Bond character done in the 60's and is NOT a James Bond movie.

Because the people who made the spoof were being stingy with the rights to the story, it couldn't be told by EON Productions (the guys who have made all of the other Bond films that we all know). EON finally got hold of the rights to make the movie in 2000, bringing us up to today's film and giving us all the backstory that has been missing all these years.

Consider yourself overinformed.:D
