Yeah, thats all we have around here as far as enthusiasts are concerned. Theres one other site but they make it out like once every quarter, haha.

With the exception of Chris' 04 Cobra and Brent's Vortech/Built motor C5, theres no fast cars on there. Some are damned fast roll ricing (350-450hp SRT4s), but run like 8.8s in the 1/8th mile LOL!

its the same danny, but it was totaled over near the Ft Walton Beach area. he seems to have disappeared from tmca ever since he moved back home.

it was totalled months(early in the year) ago from front end damage i believe. i think jeremy was helping dan fix it, or bought/planned on buying the car. this run was obviously last saturday as thats when tony got his 11's....hence the thread with video.

The GTP was in an accident. The damage done was going to total the car out. Dan bought the car back and sold it to Jeremy. It's Jeremy's car now but technically Dan still owns it since the title hasn't been transfered over.

The car needed a hood, fender, headlight, bumper, a radiator and the headlight bracket needed to be massaged back into shape.

Jeremy than bought a parts car that had the front end intact and an after market hood. Jeremy and I swapped everything over and the car was good to drive on the street.

As far as what happened at the track, we have our theories. The car has always had a studder between the 2-3 shift after it was rebuilt. Even after playing around with the settings it was still there. Driving around for another year or so the stutter started to turn into a slight slip. Going down the track the slight slip turned into a big one. Torque managment kicked in. Couldn't pull boost so it pulled fuel to stop the tranny from slipping and there is the chipped piston. The motor is running fine and the car is being driven. A new bottom end will be going in. This tranny is toast as far making it hold good power goes. So a built tranny with the hardparts being transfered over from this current tranny will be going in. Well thats that.

Cliffnotes: Car wrecked, Jeremy bought and fixed it, chipped piston, it will live again.

Was this the transmission that was completely fucking stock, and all carltons fault?Stock rebuild. Then the input shaft broke after a shift kit was installed incorrectly, not by us. After that the input shaft and the chain were upgraded, the usual parts that break. The tranny is studder/slipping because of a faulty valvebody that Danny was in the process of getting replaced but then the accident happened, you know the rest.
