....Just got a call from a guy I work with. He is interested in buying the 02 now. His subaru is about to bite the dust and he wants a mustang.

6 months ago, This was a no brainer. It would be sold in a heartbeat. Now, I'm having to much fun in S/S with the car. Arggg, I hate choices. I had told him it wasn't for sale, but it keeps eating at me. I could sell it and get out from under it.

FFW for '03 is over. I could keep the car and run it next year. But, what if by next march. I am at the back of the class (its possible).

............................................. Then theres the "what if..." I could run a 12.9x next march and be the first to do it in comp. I got the money now for some JBA headers. sigh.........

what to do, what to do....

As Randolph Duke would say...

"SELL! SELL! SELL!"

If worse comes to worse, it would be a good foundation for a 514 crate motor in the future. The 4.6 is very close to the size of a 460, so I don't see that being a difficult swap!:D

We already know a 10.0L can fit in the SN-95s with a little "massaging" of the strut towers.

dude, you gotta keep it. The car is making you some money in winnings/contingency, and most importantly you're having fun with it.

Keep the car. You'll stay competitive because you still have more mods you can do to it. JBA headers, gears (3.73's or 3.90's) and looks like they'll make that aluminum driveshaft legal for next year. With those mods a 12 is cake.

The aluminum d/s is already legal as of about a month or two ago. Along with fox's can now use electric fans and all 4 tires no longer need to be the same size. Minimum width is 7" wheel and max tread of 8.5" wide.

You're kidding, right? Fats and skinnies in "STREET Stang"? C'mon. All 4 wheels and tires have to be the same size I believe.

Rule change about a month ago. No skinnies allowed still (7" min width wheel), but the Tires no longer have to be the same size all the way around. The 8.5" max tread width still stands too.

Superchips Street Stang (Updated: 19 Aug 2003)
INDUCTION SYSTEM (Page 55) Add: "Bullitt Mustangs must retain stock OEM throttle bodies."
RADIATOR (Page 56) Change the first sentance to read: "Aftermarket or heavy duty radiator, water pump and fan permitted."
REAR END (Page 57) Add: "Aluminum driveshat permitted."
TIRES & WHEELS (Page 58 ) Change: "Drag radial tires designed for competition prohibited." to read "Non AAP approved tires designed for competition prohibited." Change the second sentance to read: "Wheel rim width may not be less than seven (7) inches." Remove the last sentence entirely.

Ok, so no fats and skinnies, but the rule is still pretty restrictive

it basically allows for all stock mustang tire sizes, since v6 mustangs have 7" rims.

that thing says "bullit mustangs" ....so will they allow the bullit intake on all GT's now? ;)
