idles and then dies

ive got a problem.....the car will start and then die after it idles for a few seconds. it stays on if i give it gas but when i give it gas it sounds like shit. its like its gurgling or something. ive got a new egr valve on the way, new fuel pump is on the way too. ive also heard my timing might be off or it could be the main relay...what do you guys think it could be?

Catch up with Turboniunm..... i bet he can figure it out..... sounds like your cam timing might have maybe jumped a tooth.....

could also be your IAC motor (idle air control) if that motor has one. Do you have a MIL on?

yea its on but thats cause my egr valve is broken an unplugged

update: i started it up this morning and it started up fine and ran normally(i had to move it back into my spot at the apartments). i turn it off, and go back inside to get ready for work...then go back out and it turns on and then shuts back off like it was doing...sadly...oh and i noticed that my radio clock resets everytime the car shuts back off again

wow thats interesting. sounds like a loose connection somewhere. check the connections to alt and battery. just to make sure
