i have a 92 ranger.... 2.3 5 speed.... it came factory with no tach..... all the automatics came with tachs.... go figure.... my question is..... i got a cluster out of a V-6 Exploder and took my speedo out of mine and installed it in the Exploder one..... everything works but i was wandering if the tach is "off" as it sounds like it's about to blow up at 5K on the tach.... i didn't know if there was an accual difference in the tach itself or if they were the same as they don't get a tach signal from a coil as both the V-6 and 4 banger have a coil pack..... does the signal come from the computer and the computer compensate? help me out please....
