Looking for a good & cheap transmission shop in Tally. Anybody know one? When I use my reverse, the shifter gets stuck in reverse, & I have to force the shifter out. Also the car will not stay in fifth gear very well. It's not the clutch because that is fairly new. Anybody got any advice or know of a shop to take it to? 96' Mustang GT.

Pretty much... I'd spend the extra few bucks if it were an auto and send it out to a place that specializes in auto's. As far as sticks go, I wouldnt know, but I imagine it would be the same deal.
I've had 3 trannies rebuilt in tally and all 3 werent worth a shit, from 'good' shops.Of the 3 one was rebuilt 3 times by the same place is 200 miles. Then they tried to get me to pay for it again... FUCK NO. On auto's especially, they tend to ignore the details, like making sure the valve body mounting surfaces are flat on the case before reassembling. It's more like they just change parts instead of rebuilding the damn thing.
It's the typical repair shop deal... faster we get one out the faster you get on the next one. Lack of attention to detail. If there is truly a good trans shop in Tally, I'd love to hear who they are...I'm all ears!

I think you can buy a take out t-45 or 3650 for like $400. It'll probably be way cheaper than a rebuild.
